I'm developing a game!

enshittAIfication is a rules-light game about surviving in a dystopia created by unchecked greed and the steady erosion of individual rights at the hands of narcissistic billionaires. And, considering what players are like, probably also dismantling said dystopia with slapstick violence and/or sapphic romance.

I was hoping to have it ready for April Fools, but that didn't happen, so I'm releasing this shameless cash grab marketing product today instead.

Confused? No worries! I produced a handy FAQ:

Q: How does this work?
A: You give me any amount of money, including no money, and you get a jpg. When enshittAIfication releases, I'll publish an announcement post to this product and you'll get an alert. I hope.

Q: What does NFT stand for?
A: NFT stands for Non-Functional Tchotchke.

Q: What does it do?
A: Nothing? It's a picture. It looks pretty. Some people might try to collect NFTs as speculative assets, but that sounds dumb and is probably a scam.

Q: Why are you doing this?
A: Two reasons. 1) The whole vibe of enshittAIfication is taking the piss out of billionaires and tech bros. 2) I'm really bad at marketing, and this seemed like a fun way to announce the game and start building an audience for it.

Q: Where does the money go?
A: enshittAIfication itself intentionally has a budget of $0, because you don't need money (let alone an LLM) to create art. However, I've commissioned a human artist for some other products; any money from this goes towards that.

Q: When will enshittAIfication release?
A: Considering that my original goal was today, and that clearly didn't happen, the best answer I can give is "hopefully this summer". It's about 75% written, and I'd like to playtest it in my Discord server a few times before releasing it. Yes, it's a real project.

Oh, yeah, and the game will be free under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 license. This FAQ was getting pretty long but I did want to put that out there.
